The Preservation Hall Jazz Band derives its name from Preservation Hall a music venue located in the New Orleans’ French Quarter. The band has traveled worldwide spreading their mission to bring the world the art form of New Orleans Jazz. Whether performing at Carnegie Hall or Lincoln Center, for British Royalty, the King of Thailand or for The Single Gourmet, this bands’ music embodies a joyful, timeless spirit. Under the auspices of current director, Ben Jaffe, the son of the founders of Preservation Hall Jazz Band, the band continues touring the world. Many of the band’s members performed with the pioneers who invented jazz. These founding artists and dozens of others passed on the lessons of their music to a younger generation who now follow in their footsteps like the current lineup. If you love Jazz music and New Orleans, this is the band to hear. Ticket, entrée, and soda/coffee included in price.
