WHAT IS THE SINGLE GOURMET?
A social club founded in 1982 for New York City area residents who appreciate fine dining, each year The Single Gourmet organizes over 60 dinners per year at upscale restaurants in NYC (an average of one per week), as well as domestic and international group travel featuring 4 & 5 star hotels and fine dining (4-6 trips per year).
All meals are are prepaid and the price you see on the website includes:
• 3 or 4 courses (or a tasting menu)
• a glass of wine with dinner
• coffee or tea with dessert
• tax & tip
… so you don’t have to worry about how much to tip,
or paying extra for something you didn’t order.
The price you see is the price you pay!
Each dinner averages 15-30 members, and there is a 45-60 minute cash bar before each dinner to mix and mingle, after which we sit down to a gourmet meal with 8-12 members per table. The purpose is to make new friends, meet interesting people, and try new restaurants.
Please note that our dinners attract a more mature demographic.

HOW IT WORKS
1. BECOME A MEMBER
After paying the membership dues, you will have access to over 60 dinners & brunches at upscale restaurants, 4-6 domestic & international trips, and other events every year.
2. PAY FOR AN EVENT
Choose the dinners and events that interest you, and click on the RSVP form (please note our refund policies). There is no limit to how many or how few dinners per month you can attend.
3. MAKE NEW FRIENDS
Enjoy great food at new restaurants while meeting new people; dinners average 15-25 members. Also, refer friends, and when they join us, you will earn credit toward your next dinner!
